I wish I had known...

I was taught if you wanted something save for it. I am and always have been a good saver but in my early years I'd save up and spend. I wish I had three savings accounts (back then we had 5 1/4 % interest) I wish I had saved for emergencies and for my future besides my wants.

    Oh yes, this is something that has quietly and secretly nagged at me about my kids. They too have learned that, sometimes, you have to save in order to buy something, but hopefully someday, they will also learn to save for the future rather for immediate wants.

    I really can't say too much to them, because I did the same when I was younger as well. Big Grin

    Oh yes, if I could go back I would have socked away my checks from McDonalds (first job)
